Ben Rector – One to Watch Tour

Is there anybody that doesn’t wanna dance with somebody? I think the answer to that question is a definitive no, but I suppose I could be wrong. Ben Rector is that one specific type of guy that you can’t help getting behind (or in front of) at a show for a number of reasons.

Let’s start with this Whitney Houston cover of “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”

By now, after watching a good portion of that video, you’ve realized that Rector is a multi-talented sort of guy. He’s got the same qualities as your Andrew McMahons and Graham Coltons, and that’s not a bad thing. What instrument is he gonna play next? Who’s he going to serenade this time? Is he gonna do that sweet Peyton Manning lip purse? The answer to all of these questions is a firm “it doesn’t really matter” because he’s playing Chicago 10/11 at House of Blues. Figure it out for yourself when you see him live.
